Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Run Lap Tap mobile application ("the App"), developed and operated by ConnectedPE Pty Ltd, an Australian company ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Use of the App

Run Lap Tap is a timing and lap counting tool designed for coaches, teachers, running clubs, and athletics events. You may use the App for personal or professional purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality

3. Accounts and Data

Run Lap Tap does not require you to create an account. The App stores data locally on your device and, if enabled, syncs via your personal Apple iCloud account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and iCloud account. We do not have access to your data.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

The App offers optional in-app purchases including a Pro annual subscription and consumable Race Passes. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

• Pro Subscription — An auto-renewing annual subscription that unlocks unlimited rosters, unlimited runners per event, and additional features. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Race Pass — A one-time consumable purchase that removes the runner limit for a single event. Race Passes do not expire but are consumed when applied to an event.

Pricing is displayed in the App and may vary by region. All billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple. To cancel a subscription or request a refund, visit your Apple ID account settings or contact Apple Support.

5. Free Tier

The App is free to download and use with certain limitations (currently 2 rosters and 30 runners per event). We reserve the right to modify the features and limits of the free tier at any time.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is the intellectual property of ConnectedPE Pty Ltd and is protected by Australian and international copyright law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for its intended purpose.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. All data remains on your device and in your personal iCloud account.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Timing data should be verified independently for official competition results. The App is intended as an aid and should not be relied upon as the sole source of official timing.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, ConnectedPE Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

Where liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the App or the relevant in-app purchase in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any of its features at any time without prior notice. Active subscriptions will be honoured for the remainder of their billing period.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
